Tips on Hosting a BBQ Party at your TMG Apartment

Take advantage of your kitchen and throw a BBQ party!

While living in your TMG apartment, you probably want to throw an occasional party. The weather is getting nice this time of year, and chances are a BBQ party is your next way to celebrate the spring season. Of course, before you throw your BBQ party, there are a few tips you need to take into consideration before having all the guests over.

Adjust Cooking Time: If you are cooking burgers and hot dogs, wait until your guests have already arrived before tossing them on the grill as these only take a few minutes to cook. However, with steak, you want to start the grill before time (if using charcoal, allow the embers to burn down and glow), and toss the meat on. It takes the meat a long time to cook, and you don’t want everyone sitting around.

Music: You want something playing to help fill the static air. This way, when there is a break in conversation, there isn’t just awkward silence playing.

Drinks: Have a selection of drinks, not just beer and/or wine. You want people to have a choice to what they are drinking, not forced into. Having a selection helps this.
