Get your lawn ready for Spring!

Spring is nearly here, which means it's time for homeowners to give a thought to getting their lawns ready for the season.

The weather is breaking in early March and now's the time to go outside and take a look at all your lawn and landscape needs going into spring!

If you're a homeowner who wants to revitalize your lawn for the changing season, TMG offers a few tips to keep in mind.
  • Spring Cleaning: The most important step in achieving a beautiful weed-free lawn is to perform a spring clean-up, the process of removing winter debris like leaves, sticks, acorns, pine needles and pine cones.
  • De-thatching the lawn: De-thatching a lawn is the process of raking out all the material that prevents water and nutrients from reaching your grass roots. By removing some of the areas thatch, your lawn will be able to accept more nutrients in result and become healthier.
  • Fertilizing: Spring is a great time to apply fertilizer with a slow-release nitrogen and pre-emergent herbicide to keep your lawn green during the spring and also prevent the growth of unwanted weeds. There are many licensed fertilizer applicators that can give you optimal results.
